      Mumo Muthengi is a consultant and Financial Modeling and Valuation trainer at Alpha Review. He is an Investment Professional with Bamboo Finance, responsible for sourcing, developing and monitoring investments across Africa. Prior to joining Bamboo, he worked at TransCentury Limited (Nairobi) where he provided investment, strategy and portfolio management support across the Power and Transport infrastructure and consumer sectors. At TransCentury, Mumo also lead a variety of transactions including asset sales, convertible debt and equity capital raisings as well as listing of TransCentury Ltd on the Nairobi Stock Exchange (Bloomberg ticker TCL: KN). Prior to joining TransCentury, Mumo worked in Private Equity for Development Partners International (London) and Charter House Group (New York). He has also worked for Deutsche Bank Securities (New York) as an Analyst in the Financial Institutions Group. Mumo holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and Business Administration degree from The University of Texas at Austin’s McCombs School of Business. He speaks English and Kiswahili.



          Kevin is a consultant and Real Eatate Valuation trainer at Alpha Review. He works for Centum’s Real Estate and Infrastructure team as Project Finance Manager where he has been responsible for carrying out project feasibility studies, building project financial models and budgets, fund raising as well as handling other commercial issues. He also has experience in investment having covered Private Equity and Listed Equities across several markets in Sub Saharan Africa. His experience includes deal sourcing, deal screening, financial modeling, financial due diligence and structuring.
          Kevin has an Economics (Hons.) degree from the University of Nairobi. He is a CFA charterholder and a member of the CFA Society in South Africa and the East Africa Society of Investment Professionals. He is also a CAIA Charterholder and a Certified Public Accountant. He has received vast Real Estate Training at Real Estate School Johannesburg SA.

              TIRIMBA OBONYO


              Tirimba is a consultant and lecturer at Alpha Review. He is currently a PhD Candidate in Finance at Drexel University in Philadelphia. His research focus is mainly in the areas of Mergers & Acquisitions and Corporate Governance. He has also taught undergraduate courses in Corporate Finance. He has worked at Goldman Sachs (New York) and KPMG (New York).
              Tirimba holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business from Lafayette College (Pennsylvania) and is a CFA Level III Candidate

                  KIBIRU MUTHAKA, CFA


                  Kibiru is a consultant and lecturer at Alpha Review. He has worked at TransCentury, Capital Markets Authority, and Ferris Baker Watts (Maryland). At TransCentury he was involved in a variety of transactions including buy side and sell side transactions as well as the listing of the company on the Nairobi Securities Exchange.
                  Kibiru is a CFA charterholder and holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Towson University (Maryland). He is a member of the East African Society of Investment Professionals (EASIP) and the Chartered Financial Analyst Society of South Africa

                      JONATHAN WAKAHE, CFA


                      Jonathan has extensive experience in portfolio management and investment research. As Senior Portfolio Manager at Pan Africa Asset Management, Jonathan is involved in the establishment of investment strategy, the selection of suitable investments and the implementation of investment decisions across a broad set of client portfolios. He has worked at Pan Africa Asset Management, ICEA LION Asset Management as Head of Research. Before joining ICEA LION Asset Management he worked as a Portfolio Manager at Co-op Trust Investment Services Limited.

                      He has a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a specialization in Finance from Strathmore University. He is a CFA charterholder and a member of the CFA Society in South Africa and the East Africa Society of Investment Professionals.
